When September Ends

Good morning! It's the last week of September and I am so very ready for Halloween season to get into full gear. When the clock strikes midnight and the 1st is officially here, I will be watching Hocus Pocus, baking pumpkin bread, and decorating the apartment. (And probably trying to train myself to enjoy Pumpkin Spice Lattes.) This year I will be making a trip down to Orlando to visit Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, so of course I had to craft some Mickey Ears for my mom and I. After many glue gun burns, I'm pretty happy with how they turned out.

Very trendy. Very fall. Now let's hope the hot glue holds on throughout our trip! We'll be going on the weekend after next, and you can bet I'll be indulging in every pumpkin treat I come across. (Mickey Pumpkin Beignets, please please Disney, don't let me down with the Mickey Pumpkin Beignets.)

The first weekend of October will surely be a grande entrance into my 2nd favorite season- now I'll just be bouncing my leg and checking my watch waiting for September to finally get outta here.

Post Irma, classes have been crazy. After having a week blown right off the schedule, professors have been cramming double coursework into every nook and cranny that they can... I've had between 4-7 assignments due a night, a quiz, essay, or exam in at least one class every day. It has not been fun. I am very stressed. I think I need some Insomnia Cookies. (Surely there is no problem that cookies can't fix, right?) Despite barely having a minute to breathe, I've made time to at least take some care of myself. Cat Cafe Tour of America

Hi. I like cats. Like, a lot. You know what else I like? Trendy cafes. Thankfully for me, these two things have been colliding in city after city here in America. Cat cafe's technically originated in Taiwan, but really took hold when they made their way to Japan. After many successful establishments popped up there, they traveled to New York and have spread like wildfire ever since. The basic idea is that you can roll up to this coffee shop, eat your pastries, relish your morning Joe, cuddle cats, and not have to deal with the downsides of pet ownership. Many cat cafes donate a portion of the money for your visit to local shelters, and house adoptable cats for people to bond with and provide a forever home to.
