Cat Cafe Tour of America

Hi. I like cats. Like, a lot. You know what else I like? Trendy cafes. Thankfully for me, these two things have been colliding in city after city here in America. Cat cafe's technically originated in Taiwan, but really took hold when they made their way to Japan. After many successful establishments popped up there, they traveled to New York and have spread like wildfire ever since. The basic idea is that you can roll up to this coffee shop, eat your pastries, relish your morning Joe, cuddle cats, and not have to deal with the downsides of pet ownership. Many cat cafes donate a portion of the money for your visit to local shelters, and house adoptable cats for people to bond with and provide a forever home to. Proud Cat Mom

Ya'll, I am so excited to announce that there has been a new addition to the family. Please welcome my sweet feline child- Amaya! Amaya, which means "nighttime rain" in Japanese, (apparently, I guess I wouldn't know if I was wrong) was born August 14th to a cat of a family friend. I have gotten to see this sweet baby grow since the day she was born, and I was just over the moon last Tuesday when I finally got to meet her for myself. Amaya's favorite things to do are play with her BB-8 toy and chomp on her mom's hair. When she gets tired, she usually passes out on my lap to restore energy to go on a kitten-insanity rampage around my room again. When she attacks her toys, she makes odd chirps that I like to call her "Pokemon noises" because there really is no better way to describe the weird sounds she can do. It honestly gets creepy at night when I hear her preparing to pounce on my feet and do her little alien scream, but she's so cute...
